Anne Grady Corporation and Courageous Community Services Announce Strategic
Alliance to Expand Opportunities and Ensure Long-Term Stability

TOLEDO, OH – Feb. 9, 2026 — Anne Grady Corporation (AGC) and Courageous Community
Services (CCS) today announced a strategic alliance that strengthens the long-term
sustainability, expands the service offerings and preserves the legacy of both organizations.
Effective Feb. 1, 2026, CCS will become an affiliate of AGC, while maintaining its mission,
identity and programs. The organizations will operate under a shared board of directors.
This alliance brings together two mission-driven organizations with a shared commitment to
dignity, inclusion and high-quality support for individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities and their families.
“Together, we’re expanding opportunities while preserving what matters most,” said Steve King,
CEO of Anne Grady Corporation. “This alliance allows us to strengthen the continuum of care
while honoring the independence, culture and legacy that CCS has built over more than 60
years.”
Founded in 1962, Courageous Community Services has been a trusted provider of inclusive
outdoor recreation and community-based programming, most notably through its summer camp
and community partnerships. The organization will continue to operate as CCS with no
immediate external changes to programs, staffing or services.
“Our families, campers, donors and community partners can be confident that CCS remains
CCS,” said Laura Kuhlenbeck, managing director of Courageous Community Services. “This
alliance ensures the long-term sustainability of our camp and programs while opening the door
to new opportunities for growth, year-round programming and expanded impact.”
While maintaining their distinct missions and programs, AGC and CCS will be governed by a
shared board of directors, thereby strengthening alignment, accountability and long-term
strategic planning across both organizations.
“This is a mutually beneficial alliance,” said Shyam Suchak, chief operating officer of Anne
Grady Corporation. “It allows us to build on our shared values and better serve individuals with
developmental disabilities through innovation, stability and community-centered care.”
Future opportunities made possible through the alliance may include new ways to expand
experiences, enhance facilities and deepen community connections, all in support of individuals
and families served by both organizations.
