One-Day Self-Advocacy Conference

People First of Toledo, in partnership with the Disability and Aging Rail Coalition, We Thrive Together, the Ohio Self-Determination Association, and the Ohio Tech Ambassadors, is organizing a one-day self-advocacy conference!

The conference will be on Friday, November 8th, from 9:00-5:15. We are being generously hosted by our partner, the University of Toledo Disability Studies Department. It will be held at the Lancelot Thompson Student Union.

This will be self-advocates speaking to self-advocates. It is designed for people with disabilities to come and learn how better to advocate for themselves and for others. We will be talking about important topics in our community, such as transportation, intersectionality, socialization, and supportive technology.
